Having completed the Evora Palace, King Manuel I of Portugal has enlisted the world's best stained-glass artisans to decorate the windows of the Royal Palace in Sintra with stained glass.
This is a unique opportunity for you, the stained glass artisan, to demonstrate your exceptional skills to the King and the country.
Can you create the most beautiful stained glass windows in all of Portugal?
Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra is a game in which players take on the role of a glassmaker who decorates the windows of the royal palace in Sintra with colourful stained glass.
In this game, players select glass pieces displayed in the workshop and decorate the window frames of the palace.
During all six rounds, players score victory points by being mindful not to waste valuable and expensive glass pieces and by placing them strategically.
At the end of the game, the winner is the player with the most victory points.
The method of selecting the glass pieces is the same as in Azul, but various elements, such as how to place them on the design slip and how to complete the window, are different, and the game offers a different sense of achievement from Azul, with simple rules, advanced strategy and a beautiful appearance.
