  • For your consideration is an amazing early/mid 20th century art glass decanter or bottle
  • It is called Almorraja - a Rosewater Sprinkler 
  • All mouth blown, hand molded and hand decorated glass
  • Stunning scarlet, crimson red color
  • Intricate shape with one central mouth and four spouts tapering to a thick stem and circular foot
  • Skillfully decorated with clear glass ruffles on the body, twists around the edge of foot as well as the mouth, and applied round flower-like prunts
  • A typical piece of art from the renown Catalan Majorcan art glass studios in Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Possibly by Vidrios da Arte Gordiola, the Gordiola Glassmaking Company, which is the oldest, established in 1719
  • The Mallorcan production rivals the best examples of the Venetian and Murano glassworks
  • In July 2021 the technique of glass-blowing was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
  • Early to mid 20th century, 1920's-1950's

  • Measurements: Approx. 3.75" diameter x 9.5" tall
  • Weighs about 1 lb. 3 oz.

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. Minor roughness on the bottom rim and at the ends of the glass ruffles. All original.
