This is a 6-car basic set of Kato's finished N gauge train, Series 381 Yakumo (Renewal Formation).

    • The Series 381 Yakumo (Renewal Formation), painted in the grey body colour with green and yellow stripes since 1997, will be commercialised.
    The actual car is a pendulum type direct current express train that is still used for the Yakumo.
    Depending on the combination of basic and extra sets, it is possible to reproduce a variety of configurations.
    The line-up of trains arriving at and departing from Okayama Station, a key railway hub in the Chugoku region, will be enhanced.

    This is the 381 Series Limited Express Yakumo train before it was converted to the relaxed Yakumo specification.
    The set consists of 6 and 3 cars, so you can enjoy a variety of formations, from the shortest 3-car operation to the longest 9-car formation, just like the actual train.
