  • IJN Battleship Mikasa "Battle of the Sea of Japan".

    The battleship Mikasa was ordered and completed by the British Vickers in 1902 as part of the Rokuroku Fleet (a plan to deploy six battleships and six armoured cruisers), and participated in not only the Russo-Japanese War, but also the First World War and the Siberian campaign. It still exists today in Yokosuka Mikasa Park as the memorial ship Mikasa.
    Armed with four 30.5 cm main guns, 14 15.2 cm secondary guns, 16 7.6 cm auxiliary guns, four 4.7 cm rapid-firing guns, four underwater 45.7 cm torpedo tubes and a maximum speed of 18 knots, she was armoured with Krupp steel and was the strongest battleship in the world when completed.
