Robert Hollands Walker - Early 20th Century Watercolour, Landscape with a Tower

Description

A finely detailed and charming river landscape by the artist Robert Hollands Walker, depicting a ruined tower atop a hill, overlooking a river valley, with a town in the distance. Two figures to the foreground balance the composition, and the artist has chosen a light palette in the style of the Picturesque. On wove laid to thick card. Signed.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The edges have some black staining, although this does not run onto the picture itself. There is a small hole to the lower left quadrant.
