The thing that sets our Primitive scoops apart is the FINISH.  It's not a "dull wood" finish.  We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our scoops.  It takes an already distressed scoop and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive.

And it STAYS that way for the life of the scoop.  It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful.

THIS is one of the largest ones.  So this one is a little more expensive.  It also costs a few dollars more to ship THIS one because it's over a Pound to ship it and therefore it can't ship 1st class.  Feel free to check out the others if you'd like one for less money!

They hand carve these mexican scoops over there out of whatever wood they have available at the time.  So NO two are ever exactly alike and they're all very primitive.  When I find them they are very dry and VERY dirty (i.e....NOT "perfect").  I go through and pick out the ones with the most character.  You will see slight splits, carving marks, even knife marks to the wood.

I clean each one up as best as possible and then I wax them with our personal bees wax formula...........allow it to dry and then buff it out.  THEN I drill a hole through the handle which you can use to hang it if you ever want to!  They have all of the wonderful carving marks in the wood which I find just precious.  The one you SEE is the EXACT one you will receive.

This one measures 13 1/2 inches long, 6 1/8 inches wide and it is 2 inches thick.  Weighs One pound!

The scoop you SEE is the EXACT one you will RECEIVE.
