ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume on Kit Carson!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 124 years old!

In nice condition overall!  Undated; gift inscription on front pastedown includes the year 1902.  Possibly printed earlier.  I could not locate a similar example in my research.

Original publisher cloth binding shows some wear, including some rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  Tight and square!  Gilt title lettering to the spine displays nicely from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape overall.  Both boards and all page groupings remain firmly attached to the binding.  Gift inscription dated 1902 visible to front pastedown endpaper.  Otherwise this volume is clean.

The text block of this volume is very clean throughout.  Pages show typical age-related toning, and the odd spot of light foxing and soiling, and some very minor edge wear in spots, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Make sure to see the photos above and the additional photos in the description below for complete details.

376 pages with 4 pages of publisher advertisements in back.

Measures approximately 7 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches thick.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
