Vintage metal bust of 19th century composer Stephen Foster, the "father of American music", made in Japan in the 1960's.

This miniature bust is cast in metal with a bronze finish and very good detail. The base reads "STEPHEN FOSTER - 1826-1864". The back is marked "JAPAN". 

It measures 3.5" tall by 2.5" wide by 2" deep.

Stephen Foster wrote such immortal American songs as "Oh! Susanna", "Camptown Races", "Beautiful Dreamer", "Swanee River" and many more. This miniature bust might have been made as a souvenir sold at one of the Stephen Foster Memorials in Pennsylvania or Florida. Get it right here.
