The thing that sets our Primitive scoops apart is the FINISH.  It's not a "dull wood" finish.  We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our scoops.  It takes an already distressed scoop and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive.

And it STAYS that way for the life of the scoop.  It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful.

THIS one is discounted for a pretty nitpicky reason.  It's simply not quite as "heavy" as most of the other ones.  It doesn't affect anything but  I've discounted this as a result.

They hand carve these mexican scoops over there out of whatever wood they have available at the time.  So NO two are ever exactly alike and they're all very primitive.  When I find them they are very dry and VERY dirty (i.e....NOT "perfect").  I go through and pick out the ones with the most character.  You will see slight splits, carving marks, even knife marks to the wood.

I clean each one up as best as possible and then I wax them with our personal bees wax formula...........allow it to dry and then buff it out.  THEN I drill a hole through the handle which you can use to hang it if you ever want to!  They have all of the wonderful carving marks in the wood which I find just precious.

This one measures 12 7/8 inches long, 4 5/8 inches wide.  It weighs a Half a Pound.

The scoop you SEE is the EXACT one you will RECEIVE.
