    Actual car introduction
    Tobu Type 6050 is a two-door semi-cross seat car that appeared by renewal of the 6000 Series.
    22 two-car formations appeared by renewal from 1985 to 1986, and as cars were insufficient during renewal, a completely new formation was built in 1985 One additional train was built in 1985 and one in 1986 (these two trains were transferred to the Noiwa Railway), followed by seven more trains in 1988 and one train for the Noiwa Railway, and one train for the Aizu Railway in 1990.
    The completely new trains are characterised by the SU Minden-type bogies.
    In 1996, the leading coupling was replaced with a close coupling with an electric coupling instead of an automatic coupling in order to improve the efficiency of adding and removing trains, and the jumper plug receptacle on the left side facing the front was removed.
    March 2001 timetable From the March 2001 timetable revision, these trains are operated on regular trains on the Nikko Line, and pantographs for defrosting have been added to some formations.
    Tobu Railway-owned Type 6050 has been withdrawn from regular operation at the 12 March 2022 timetable revision.
