    Actual car introduction
    The Series 200 was developed for the Tohoku Shinkansen, which opened in 1982.
    In order to cope with the climate of the operating area, the cold and snow resistant structure was strengthened and equipped with a body-mounted structure that covers the entire under-floor equipment and a snow cutting chamber that separates snow so that it does not get into the cooling airflow.
