Product Introduction
Dragon Armour 1/72 US Army M65 Atomic Cannon 280mm Cannon in firing mode (with special trailer), complete.

About the Atomic Cannon
The M65 Atomic Cannon 280mm Cannon is a huge cannon developed and deployed by the US Army during the Cold War period after the end of World War II.
The 280 mm calibre cannon was developed as a cannon dedicated to nuclear shells and was also known as the Atomic Annie or Atomic Cannon.
The shell used was the W9 nuclear shell, the first nuclear shell developed in the USA, of which 80 were produced. It had a diameter of 11 inches and a nuclear output of 15 kilotons.
In 1955, an improved W19 nuclear shell was developed, of which 80 were also produced, switching from the W9 shell.
The M65 Atomic Cannon had a range of about 30 km and could not move by itself. It moved with a mobile trailer in front and behind it.
It is said to have been able to change from moving state to firing state and from firing state to moving state in about 15 minutes each.
It weighed 83.3 tonnes, but was capable of a maximum speed of about 55 km/h when moving.
Twenty were produced and operated from 1953 to 1963. They were deployed in Europe and Korea.

About the model
The model is a 1/72 reproduction of the M65 Atomic Cannon, a large field gun capable of firing nuclear shells that was operated by the US Army from 1953 to 1963.
The plastic model is assembled and painted.
The huge cannon and the special trailer for transporting it are also modelled.
This set reproduces the M65 Atomic Cannon in firing position.
The T72 gun mount, which equips the gun, is also modelled in its original shape, giving the gun a heavy feel even in 1/72 scale.
The special trailers are realistically finished to the shape of the engine compartment as well as the appearance of the cabin, with M249 in the front and M250 in the rear.
The model is pre-painted, so it's fun to create scenes as they are, or to add stain paint to enhance the reality of the model.
