    Actual car introduction
    Series 227 is a new type of train which started operation in 2015.
    It is in operation on regular and rapid trains in the Hiroshima area.
    The car body is based on the red colour of the torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine, with the nickname RedWing and the Hiroshima City Network logo mark.
    There are three-car and two-car trains, with a maximum of eight trains in operation.
