Description:
Product introduction On the uninhabited island of Arnak, confront the guardians and get your hands on the island's secrets!
Day Three -- After two fruitless days of searching the empty sea, there seemed to be a glimmer of hope in the slight shadow of the horizon, finally discernible between the sparkling waves. As we approached, a bright red bird came towards our boat. Its chirping seemed to welcome us. The navigator looks at the charts and assures us that this is definitely an uncharted island. His words confirm the hypothesis we all secretly shared: that this is definitely an unknown island. The rocky plateau and overgrown jungle -- this must be Alnak! -- This must be Arnak!
In The Lost Ruins of Arnak, players land on the island as a group of archaeologists exploring the island and perform actions such as discovering new locations, excavating, researching, buying cards, playing cards and fighting off guardians in order to win. When performing these actions, for example excavating, you need to send an archaeologist frame to the location and pay the cost with cards. Cards can also be used not only to pay costs, but also to gain card effects by playing cards. The cards at the start of the game are the same for each player, so you may need to purchase new cards to strengthen your deck!
Arnak's Lost Ruins is a finalist for the German Annual Expert Game Award 2021, full of exploration and discovery, with a system that also highlights the brilliant balance between deck building + worker placement + resource management.
