antique powder horn carved cabin scene signed Lemay history 9x2.5 original

Vintage powder horn with inked scene and story made my E. Lemay
1. estate purchase
2. probably not an antique powder horn probably early 1900s
3. plug in one end is antler
4. design and message all hand done
5. plug on pour end is missing
6. Mr. Lemay says he was born in 1938, we don't know when he did this work
7. this is not carved, it is ink, log cabin and mountain scene is signed bottom right, see photo
8. The message:
Born May 17, 1988
Because of my dislikes
of these days, I feel I
would have been much happier
to have been born in 1838,
where I could
have fished and hunted to my
hearts content, a closeness to nature to behold.
9. there is also a message on the wood plug, but not readable, I think he put the plug in after the message
