Luminox Sport Timer Automatic Stainless Steel Black Dial Black Leather Strap Day/Date Divers Mens Watch Model# XS.0921 / 0921 Luminox is reintroducing one of the brand's most important watches, now equipped with an automatic movement in a very attractive, vintage-inspired package. This Sport Timer features a 42 mm stainless steel case with a gloss black dial matched with white syringe-style hands and Arabic numerals in 12 and 24-hour formats. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLTs illuminate the watch thru its hands and hour markers as well as the bezel tip. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a uni-directional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale on a black ceramic top ring, and a day/date window at the 3 o'clock position. A black leather strap secured by a stainless steel signed double-prong buckle completes the elegant and stylish look. This watch has a see-through caseback showcasing the Sellita caliber SW220-1, a Swiss automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve, and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.

Founded in 1989 by American Barry Cohen who envisioned developing high-performance sports watches combined with modern luminescence and legibility. Coined from the Latin words, "Lumi" meaning light, and "Nox" meaning night, Luminox watches are widely recognized for their tagline "Always Visible Technology" which is formally called "Luminox Light Technology" or "LLT". It uses safe tritium-based luminescence tubes which can give a constant glow for up to 25 years. 1992 was the breakout year for Luminox as the Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) for West Coast Navy Seals, Nick North, together with Barry Cohen, worked to develop a watch specifically for the Navy SEALs. This paved the way for Luminox watches to be made for the US Coast Guard, US Air Force, and a variety of other special forces and EMS teams worldwide.
