This is a great piece. Hard to find.
Seems to be a Bayonet turned knife. Since the size and
the blood channels in the side of the blade looks like this was planned to
be used with stabbing action.

The Knife in the Argentinean country side was famous. It was used as an everyday object, for eating and personal grooming.
Also for fights with or whitout Poncho.
The Argentinean fencing tecnique is hard to learn.
and knife fights usually ended up with both hurt, and one dead.

Thats why this has reach.
Is not the common country knife. This was property of a Statesman
a Wealthy Gaucho (Argentinean Cowboy)

La blade is long and seems to have been used.

The Handle, guard, Mouth of the scabbart and point of it
seems to be Silver.
