Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Antonio Suntach' after 'Dirk de Jongh'. Antonio Suntach (1744-1828): Italian publisher/printer; printmaker; stipple engraver, b.and d. Venice. Began career under Volpato with Remondini in Bassano, copying prints after Kauffman and Morland. Married in 1771 and set up on his own account in Bassano with backing from the Ferrari family; retired in 1816 and sold business (with six presses) and stock to Remondini for 58,500 lire. Dirk de Jongh (active 1779-1805) was a Dutch printmaker, cartographer and draughtsman.
