The Calrec
CM600 D Series microphones can't connect directly to a mixer/pre-amp
that provides standard P48 phantom power. The Calrec is wired
differently. It provides an unbalanced output on a single wire and one 48V power feed that runs on its own line.

Power Adapter is special made for the Calrec CM600 D Series with DIN /
Small Tuchel connector and makes it possible to use a standard 48V
phantom power feed with these microphones
[via standard mic cable from the Mic PreAmp / Mixer / Recorder]. This
Power Adapter also offers additional power filtering for a more clean
supply voltage for the microphone. -Please see photo for the
connection.
The original 230V Calrec power supply from back-in-the-days is not necessary anymore to operate these microphones
