ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume on Patriots Day!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 129 years old!

1st Edition.  Ex-library.

A rare volume to find in any condition!  Original publisher cloth binding shows wear as pictured, including a library sticker pasted to the front board, a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, toning to the spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  Gilt title lettering to the spine can still be read from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape overall.  There is a bit of cracking to the front hinge, however both boards and all page groupings remain firmly attached to the binding.  This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is clean throughout.  There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some general wear in the margins including corner creasing, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Nicely illustrated.  Make sure to see the photos above for complete details.

170 pages with publisher advertisements in back.

Measures approximately 7 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
