We understand that there may be a couple reasons you need to return your tonneau cover to us. We offer a 30-day return policy due to change of mind. Please message us prior to sending anything back, as we need to assign you a return number. Returned tonneau covers must be carefully packaged. You must follow the video instructions in the help tab for your specific type of tonneau cover. The tonneau cover must then be placed back in the box in its original condition with all parts accompanied. Once we send you the return number, please write it on the outside of the box. Please read the relevant paragraph below for how to proceed with sending it back to us.

1. Change of mind:
   • We understand that sometimes you may change your mind after you have purchased goods from us and so we are happy to offer a 30-day return policy. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it to us at your cost for up to 30 days after delivery, for your choice of exchange or refund, excluding original delivery costs.
   • All returned items must be in unused condition, in their original shipped packaging, and include all parts and accessories to qualify for exchange or refund. Where returned items are not received in unused condition, we will deduct damages from refund.

2. The tonneau cover does not fit:
   • Please message us with photos of the entire installation, including how each part is installed and any fitting issue information so our team can assess the situation and rectify it.
3. The item arrived damaged or missing parts:
   • All orders leave our factory in brand new undamaged condition. If your item arrives damaged or is missing parts, we will gladly replace or fix it and organise any return shipping, if required, to return the item to us.
   • All claims for damaged items must be made within 2 business days of receiving your order. It is important that you open your order as soon as you receive it and notify us immediately if there is any damage.
   • Please take photographs of any damage and message us before sending the item back. We need to report damage to our delivery courier prior to arranging a return.
   • If you receive the tonneau cover and are missing any parts, please check the package contents in the products main description for what comes with your order and if there are any discrepancies please message us.
4. The item is faulty:

Q1. Are the Ute Covers Direct tonneau covers the same as my original tonneau cover?

No, we are a supplier of after-market tonneau covers and therefore our covers are not the same design as those of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s). If you are unsure whether your tonneau cover attachment points are ours or OEM, please message us.

Our covers come with a complete fitting kit.

Q2. Are tonneau covers easy to install?

Yes, quite easy if your tonneau cover has been purchased as a replacement cover for one that was previously bought from Ute Covers Direct, in which case you will have it fitted in just a few minutes.

However, if your Ute has not previously had a cover fitted our tonneaus covers are supplied with a complete fitting kit, including the support bar/s and a comprehensive set of fitting instructions. You should be able to fit the cover in a couple of hours.

Q3. What do I do if I already have hardware fitted from my previous tonneau cover?

If it is a Ute Covers Direct tonneau cover (refer to the label on the underside of the cover) then the hardware will most likely suit our replacement cover. Please message us before checking out as we may have changed the product.

If it is not a Ute Covers Direct ClipOn tonneau cover then you will need to remove any existing hardware and replace it with the hardware that is supplied with our cover.

If you have a bunji tonneau cover and wish to keep your existing buttons (bunji attachment points) please check the main image to see if they line up and if they do not please write blank cover in the notes during checkout.

Q4. Can I come in and pick up my item?

Yes, our soft tonneau covers are manufactured in Victoria and can be picked up from the factory in Kilsyth 3137. 

Q5. Are your covers compatible with Ute liners?

Our Bunji and Rope tonneau covers suit both over-rail and under-rail tub liners, but a slight modification may need to be made to the front section of the tub liner so that the front attachment method can be attached directly to the vehicle body behind the cabin. Most of our ClipOn tonneau covers suit under-rail tub liners and a few of our ClipOn tonneau covers suit over-rail tub liners. Please see the description area to see whether it suits over-rail or under-rail tub liners.

Q6. How long will it take for me to get my money back after I have returned an item?

We will issue you a refund once the product has been received by our warehouse and checked by our staff.

Q7. Are Ute Covers Direct tonneau covers long lasting?

Yes, our tonneau covers are extremely durable as they are made from a vinyl that is very versatile as it was designed for applications where resistance to tearing and ripping is of paramount importance. Our tonneau covers have an acrylic lacquer coating on both sides, to give it improved UV-resistance and to make it easier to clean, whilst at the same time it restricts plasticiser migration. It has a high level of both scratch and UV-resistance, which makes it long lasting and extremely durable.

Q8. Are your tonneau covers waterproof?

No, our tonneau covers are not completely waterproof as you can get water into the bed of your Ute if you use a high-pressure washer or hose and aim it along the edges of the cover or the sides of the tailgate.

Our tonneau covers are best described as water-resistant i.e. when it is raining the water should not leak into your Ute bed if the cover has been installed correctly, instead it should run off the cover and down the outside of the Ute bed. It is however always possible for some small amount of water to get into the Ute bed around any cut-outs for ladder racks, sports bars etc.
