Seriously good airline-friendly protection for your bike

The semi-rigid EVA-foam Pod offers bomber protection while boasting a check-in friendly 6kg weight. A 3/4-length peripheral zip opens the Pod’s two clamshell halves to allow you to lie the frame on one side and pop the wheels into moulded recesses in the other.

Two external holes allow you to secure the wheels using their quick-release skewers (assuming you use 9mm QR) but we preferred to simply pack the wheels tight with extraclothes. The Pod’s small size means fitting bigger bikes can be snug, but the contents don’t shift during transit.

This minimises damage, and also means it'll slide into the smallest taxi you can find on arrival.

Deposit and Hire Contract

We will ask you to sign a simple hire contract on collection and pay £50 deposit in cash, returned immediately at dehire, if all conditions are met.

Upon collection please bring driving licence or utility bill for proof of your residential address which should match your eBay account address.

Conditions of hire

You are responsible for the bike box during its hire and for its safe return before the end of the hire period.

General wear and tear is expected when you use the bike box and this is anticipated when it is returned.

Should the bike box not be returned then the cost of a replacement bike box will be sought, and any other associated costs in recovery of this sum.
