A watercolour painting by listed artist David Wood (1933-1996).

It is a full length portrait of an female pianist giving a recital. Extravagantly dressed in a long white gown, a feather headdress, matching green jewellery and dark glasses she is seated at the piano.  A martini glass and lots of flowers are on the top of the instrument.

Signed with initials lower right. Also has a label verso giving the title 'The Pianist' and note that it was purchased in November 1997. This is likely to have been at the posthumous tribute exhibition held by the Chappel Gallery in Essex in that year.

The painting is in excellent condition and is well presented with a white coloured card mount with hand painted lemon yellow edging within a limed wood frame.  Both mount and frame are in excellent condition, note just one small scrape to the top edge of the frame.

Measures 43 x 33cm including the frame, the painting only is 26 x 18cm.

Glazed and ready to hang.

Postage £8 in the UK, £26 to mainland Europe and £50 to the USA.
