This scarce antique volume is over 181 years old!
A nice little chapbook out of Concord, New Hampshire! Number 1 of a series.
Original publisher paper wraps with sewn binding. Wraps show wear as pictured, including some soiling and general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! The gilt title lettering on the front board shines brightly, and the gilt lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf.
Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both covers and all pages remain firmly attached to the sewn binding. Former owner's signature in ink visible on the title page. Otherwise clean with no inscriptions or library markings to note.
The text block of this volume is clean overall. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some foxing and soiling scattered throughout, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout!
Nicely illustrated with engravings. Features an elephant on the title page; other illustrations include a lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo.

Measures approximately 3 3/4 inches tall by 2 1/4 inches wide.
