The adapter enables the use of a standard DC power supply on devices which are using 4-PIN Mini DIN plugs. Many HikVision, Safire, Hyundai, Annke and other devices (DVRs, ZVRs, NVRs) on the HikVision platform are using 4-PIN Mini DIN plugs.
No need to purchase specific and expensive power supplies with Mini DIN plug anymore, but you can use normal standard power supplies with standard DC plugs.
