Here we have my very rare 1983 Austin Ambassador here to sell. The Ambassador was an updated version of the Princess which only shared the doors and inner structure. The model was only in production for two years from 1982 to 1984, with my example being registered right in the middle of its production run, 10th March 1983.

I bought the vehicle last summer from a classic car auction after it had been barn stored since 1995. The underneath is in very good condition having been wax oyled before it went into storage. When I bought, it was running and driving and had just had new tyres fitted. In November, I presented the vehicle for an MOT, to pass it needed brake adjustment all round (including some replacement parts), various bulbs & rubber gaiters and new spark plugs & ignition coil for the emissions.

The current MOT is valid till 14th November this year but is now MOT exempt and from April this year, it will become both road tax & ULEZ exempt!

I have completed a few local runs and the car performed well but I would not recommend driving long distances until you have given the car a full service for peace of mind. The heater doesn't get hot but the car doesn't overheat, I assume a coolant flush and thermostat may fix the issue, given the length of time the vehicle was off the road. Unfortunately I have no history with the car but the mileage reading is 76,240 which I believe to be genuine mileage.

The bodywork is tidy but obviously not perfect but the interior is very nice and original (see pictures). The inner skin of the bonnet is starting to come away from itself but only on the drivers side.

The auction will run for 10 days and sell to the highest bidder.

Any questions or viewings welcome. Car is located near Harwich, Essex.
