***********The movement was given a complete overhaul in December 2019. Although no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. While the original HEV crown remains intact and functional it needs to be slowly wound while at the same time applying gentle outward pressure to it in order to avoid occasional skipping. According to my old school watchmaker the only way for this to be remedied is to replace the crown, which I'm not willing to do. With practice, patience and utilizing care this crown will continue to work without issues.***********

This seldom seen vintage 1960's Pryngeps is a truly special watch that in my humble opinion looks markedly better in person. The pictures don't nearly do it the justice it deserves as it presents beautifully. The glossy black "SWISS MADE" signed dial is lovely and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching orange hue. The aged Pepsi bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, looks great. The all stainless steel case with lugholes shares the same case design as the Titus Calypsomatic. It is in excellent condition showing minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL INCABLOC WATERPROOF AUTOMATIC" with a picture of a diver and "2002" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "BREV.DEM." followed by "+,""STAINLESS,""STEEL" and "2472." The crystal shows light scratching.

The 21 jewels ETA 2472 automatic movement with quickset date function received a complete overhaul in December 2019. Although no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. The movement runs strong and keeps accurate time over an impressive power reserve period of approximately 42 hours. The date wheel rolls over automatically as it should at 12 am. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. The original HEV screwdown crown screws down perfectly as it should and winds beautifully (when wound slowly and with care as mentioned in the bolded section above/below).

This watch measures approximately 37.5 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12 mm.

Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
