This seldom seen vintage 1960's PAT diver has a black dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows age-related wear.  The original lume on the dial and hands, which emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully.  The black countdown bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with the appropriate amount of tension, looks great.  The heavy duty all stainless steel case is in excellent condition showing minor wear and no obvious signs of oxidation.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "ALL STAINLESS STEEL   ANTIMAGNETIC" with "100%" followed by "WATERPROOF TESTED,""20 ATMOSPHERES" and "57044" stamped in the center.  The crystal shows scratching and some dust/debris on its underbelly.

The 25 jewels Felsa 4007N automatic movement with quickset date function is clean, keeps accurate time and the roulette date wheel rolls over at 12 am.  The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached.  After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 41 hours.  The crown winds beautifully.  Given that this watch is likely more than 50 years old and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended.

This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs.  Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm.  Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm.

Although the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time, given its vintage nature and considering that it shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended.  As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.  Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.  Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
