This seldom seen vintage 1960's Monvis has a lovely aged blue "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial and the lume emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light.  The blue and silver acrylic bezel, which shows wear that is more pronounced under direct light and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely.  All of the pictures shown were taken in natural light, muting the bezel imperfections (which are difficult to capture), with the exception of picture 9, which was taken on flash.  The heavy duty all stainless steel case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "SUPER WATERPROOF   ANTIMAGNETIC   INCABLOC   AUTOMATIC   ALL STAINLESS STEEL   SWISS MADE" with "20 ATMOS" followed by "1118" stamped in the center.  The crystal shows light wear.

The 25 jewels Swiss ETA 2452 automatic movement with semi-quickset date function is clean, keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am.  The semi-date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached.  After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a healthy power reserve of approximately 41 hours.  The crown winds smoothly.  Given that this watch is more than 50 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history (there are several watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.

This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 37.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs.  Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm.  Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm.

Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.  As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.  Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.  Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
