***********The manual wind movement runs about 2 minutes fast by the end of its approximate 41 hour power reserve period. The original bezel was replaced at some point with a fixed (removable, non-rotating) smooth bezel. Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This is a midsize watch measuring approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 36.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs.***********

This vintage Waltham, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a lovely grayish black satin "T SWISS T" signed dial.  The lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully.  The original bezel was replaced at some point with a fixed (removable, non-rotating) smooth bezel.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "ALL STAINLESS STEEL CASE - SWISS MADE" and "WALTHAM."  The inside of the case back is stamped "WALTHAM WATCH Co" followed by "SWISS" and "B-271."  The crystal shows scratching.

The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "WALTHAM WATCH Co" stamped manual wind movement with semi-quickset date function strong, albeit fast, and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am.  The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached.  After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 22 full revolutions the movement gained about 2 minutes by the end of its approximate 41 hour power reserve period.  Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.

This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 36.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs.  Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 8 mm.  Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9.5 mm.

A complete overhaul is recommended.  As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.  Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.  Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.

Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given.  And please study the 16 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.

Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.  Thanks for looking!
