Dimensions of 33 x 17 x 10 cms.
Weight approximately 0.530 kg without packaging.
Materials: Dense wood.
Assumed seniority: 1970s to early 1980s.

Superb "Kpélié" mask, from the Senoufo ethnic group, from the North of Ivory Coast.
The piece is very delicately crafted. We notice the presence of a hornbill on the crest, a mystical animal among the Senoufo. It symbolizes happiness and prosperity, and being lucky enough to spot one is considered a good omen.
The mask leaves clearly appear the hand of the famous sculptor "Lamine Tio", a former sculptor from the Nafou region.
Excellent quality piece, with very beautiful details. For collection.
