This hard paste porcelain teapot and stand was made by New Hall circa 1790-1800 , it is from the Pat Preller collection and bears her label and the pattern number 452 on the base .
It has a spiral fluted body and is decorated with a cobalt blue band and enriched with gilding .
The teapot stands at 7 1/2" high and measures 9 3/4" in diameter from the spout to the handle , the stand measures 7" x 6 5/8" in diameter .
There is a fine crack on the top edge of about 5/8" in length and a star crack to the base , this shows on both sides and a chip on the underside of the edge of the cover .
There is no glaze crazing , there are some speckles of fine kiln dust on the inside from when it was made , there is some wear to the gilding , mostly on the centre of the stand and to the end of the spout and sides of the handle .
