Colortune is an effective and inexpensive fuel system diagnostic tool that enables accurate tuning & fault finding of carburetors with absolutely no guessing. The Colortune test sparkplug has a high temperature quartz glass window that allows the user to actually look into the engine as it is running, and view the combustion flame. Colortune takes advantage of the principle that air/fuel mixtures of different strengths burn different colors, orange is too rich, white is too lean and blue is chemically correct, a 14.7 to 1 ratio. After temporarily installing the Colortune sparkplug and observing the combustion flame, the carburetors can be tuned correctly. Colortune can also be used to diagnose various engine defects by observing inappropriate combustion colors. Colortune can be used on both 4 & 2 stoke engines, from cars and motorcycles to lawn and garden power equipment. Colortune has been available in Europe for many years and has been recommended and used by major automotive manufacturers. The Colortune kit is available to fit all threaded sparkplug hole sizes. Included are very comprehensive instructions providing detailed fuel system and engine fault finding information.
