The LEGO 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer was released in 2006 and is a must-have for any Star Wars fan. It is based on the infamous Star Destroyers seen through the entire Original Trilogy and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Console). This set contains 1366 pieces. Minifigures include; Grand Moff Tarkin, two Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Palpatine (Hologram), two Royal Guards, an Imperial Officer, Imperial Astromech Droid R2-D5 and a Mouse Droid. It was retired in April 2008.

The set is split in three parts. The main part is a white section which includes an Escape Pod. The second section is darker and contains stronger guns, a hologram receiver, Darth Vader's Meditation Chamber and a larger play space. The third and final section is the bridge which holds four computer bricks and has enough room to fit a few minifigures.

The third section disconnects from the main assembly when a lever at the back of the bridge is pushed. This allows the roof of the first and second sections to open by means of hinged pieces.

This incredible vehicle opens up to reveal all the details of the Empire's most famous starship. Lower Darth Vader's mask in his meditation chamber, kneel before the Emperor's hologram, fire the turbo laser cannons, direct the battle from the command bridge with Grand Moff Tarkin, and release the escape pod for emergency evacuations!

Top lifts off and sides swing open to reveal all of the inner workings of the ship!
