On Nov 2 1994 Charles Barkley attended an Eric Clapton concert in Phoenix. During the concert he claimed to have gotten lotion in his eyes. This “injury” forced Barkley to miss the home opener 2 days later. The injury was joked about during a segment of Inside the NBA about the strangest injuries.
