ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume by Alfred J. Church!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 124 years old!

1st Edition.  Ex-library.

In nice condition overall!  Original publisher cloth binding shows some wear, including a library sticker pasted to the front board, a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Volume is just ever so slightly cocked.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  Gilt title lettering displays nicely from the shelf

Internally, this volume is in good shape overall.  The front hinge has been repaired with tape, and the rear hinge.  Despite this wear, both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding.  This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is clean throughout.  A plate at page 30 has been secured to the binding with tape.  Additionally there is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some light general edge wear.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Nicely illustrated throughout with full page plates.  Make sure to see the additional photographs in the description below for a through look through this antique volume!

166 pages.

Measures approximately 7 3/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide by 1 inch thick.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
