Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Nicolaas van Frankendaal' after 'Willem Writs'. Nicolaas van Frankendaal (active ca. 1765-1775) worked as professional engraver in Amsterdam. Willem Writs (1731-1786) was a Dutch watch maker and engineer, but also a draughtsman and etcher of architecture and landscapes.
