Antique Print-A stage play at the Amsterdam theatre-Writs-Frankendaal-1774

Description: From a set of depictions of the new Theatre of Amsterdam. Amsterdam.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Nicolaas van Frankendaal' after 'Willem Writs'. Nicolaas van Frankendaal (active ca. 1765-1775) worked as professional engraver in Amsterdam.  Willem Writs (1731-1786) was a Dutch watch maker and engineer, but also a draughtsman and etcher of architecture and landscapes.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Het nieuwe bosch en de waterval.' - Two scenes from stageplay at the Amsterdam theatre.

Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins. Fold in the middle of the print. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 27 x 36 cm. The image size is ca. 20.3 x 28.5 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 10.6 x 14.2 inch. The image size is ca. 8 x 11.2 inch.
