Product introduction
Hasegawa 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero Type 52 Hei.

The Zero fighter Type 21, which continued the rapid advance of the early stages of the war, became inferior in terms of speed and firepower to the new fighters of the US Army and Navy, which appeared one after another in 1943.
The wingspan was shortened from 12m to 11m, and the cowling was redesigned and equipped with a thrust-operated single exhaust pipe to improve speed.

The 20 mm machine gun in the wing was replaced by a belt-fed Type 99 Type 2-4 20 mm machine gun, and a Type 52 A was produced with a thicker outer wing plate to increase the dive speed limit, but the Navy's demands continued, and a Type 52 B, with the right side of the 7.7 mm machine gun in the nose section reinforced with a 13 mm machine gun, and a 20 mm machine gun on both wings of Type B. The Type 52 series was produced by Nakajima and Mitsubishi in numbers of approximately 6,000 aircraft, and continued to fight until the end of the Pacific War.
