Expertly crafted bronzed reproduction of French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon's bust of Thomas Jefferson made in the 1920's-30's by the Marion Bronze Company of New Jersey.

This vintage bust is cast in an electroplated genuine bronze cladding with a solid ceramic composition interior, making it look and feel like bronze. The sculptural detail is top notch. The back is inscribed "MB" which presumably stands for Marion Bronze. It's cast onto a rounded plinth and the bottom has evidence of the wire loop that was used for the electroplating process.

It stands 9" tall by 4.5" wide by 3" deep, and weighs 2.5 lbs.

The real sculpture by Houdon was created in 1789 when Jefferson sat for him in France during his time as U.S. Ambassador. It is one of the most famous busts of America's 3rd President. Get it for your home, office or collection.
