1958 DAMN YANKEES THEATRE SOUVENIR PROGRAM SET MILWAUKEE BRAVES MUSICAL BASEBALL
Offered is this incredible original Souvenir Program from the performance of Damn Yankees from Jan 27th-Feb 1st, 1958 at the Garfield Theatre in Milwaukee Wisconsin. It also comes with the playbill insert! This is an original, and clean, 18 page souvenir theater program, from the musical, "Damn Yankees". This musical, features Devra Korwin, Ralph Lowe, Philip Keneally and many others... This delightful program, comes from a very fastidious collector of Broadway programs, and off Broadway hits. It has no writing, no rips, no tears, and no folds. There are great photographs, throughout this booklet. Very Nice condition for age, some typical light wear as to be expected. See photos. It measures roughly 9" x 11 3/4". Both pieces are in very nice overall condition with some typical very light wear from handling over the years (please see photos). The pages inside are clean and unmarked. Overall, it still looks great on display. Please see detailed photos and feel free to ask any questions that you may have. A must for any Broadway Show, Souvenir Program or Milwaukee Theater Memorabilia, Playbill or Booklet collector!
For this production's engagement in Milwaukee (January 27 - February 1, 1958), the baseball team's name was changed from the Washington Senators to the Milwaukee Braves, an homage to the real Milwaukee Braves (now the Atlanta Braves). The producers were granted special permission from the real Milwaukee Braves to not only use their name, but also their uniforms. A few key lines and lyrics were changed as well.
