ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume by Steward Edward White!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique first edition is over 121 years old!

1st Edition.  Ex-library.

In nice condition overall!  Original publisher cloth binding shows some wear, including a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Volume is also slightly cocked.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  Gilt title lettering to the spine still displays nicely from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape as well.  There is moderate cracking to both the front and rear hinges, however both boards and all page groupings still remain attached to the binding.  This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is clean throughout.  There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some general light edge wear, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Nicely illustrated with full page plates.  Make sure to see the additional photos below for a thorough look through this antique tome!

276 pages.

Measures approximately 8 3/4 inches tall by 6 inches wide by 1 1/2 inch thick.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
