FIVE HEIRLOOM BLACK RASPBERRY 2-3 YR OLD STARTER PLANTS- BARE ROOT, DUG TO ORDER, SHIPPED USPS PRIORITY.  Due to stress on plants as weather warms up, we will stop shipping for spring planting on May 15th.

Original varietal name unknown as these have been grown by our family for at least 10 generations and in several locations throughout the US.  Very dependable berry producer if grown in semi-shade.

Black Raspberries are a bramble that reproduce by cane-tipping.  When canes (stems) reach several feet long, the weight of the cane will cause it to tip downward.  When the tip comes in contact with the soil, it will root and start a new plant.  Plants usually start producing berries the second year, but may bloom earlier depending on soil and weather conditions.  Due to cane-tipping, raspberries can take over a large area in a few short years if not maintained and become difficult to pick because these are NOT thornless.

Listing is for 5 well-rooted 2-3 year old starts.  We dig plants to order and ship via USPS Priority mail within two days, depending on weather, with planting instructions.

PLEASE NOTE:  We DO NOT ship to restricted states or anywhere outside the continental US.
