Original Mutoscope Pin Up Cards from the 1940s were used for a contest and editorial material that was printed on the reverse of the cards. They were issued in 1969 or 1970 by a bookstore (Reid Books and Posters) on Yonge St. in Toronto which was facing criminal charges related to the sale of "Adult" book and magazines. Presumably, these cards were handed out to customers of the bookstore in an attempt to sway public opinion and eventually put pressure on politicians to change the laws around the distribution of obscene materials. These cards are very scarce and are given the highest possible rarity factor of 10/10 by the author John Bell in his excellent book: 'The Canadian Non-Sport Catalogue'.
