For sale a DLS19 / CV342 thermal delay switch valve / tube by AEI, recently fully tested and working.

The DLS19 is on a B7G sub miniature base and is a bi-mettalic thermal delay switch operated by a 0.5A, 6.3 volt heater within a ceramic tube. At an ambient 20 deg C, it will introduce a delay of 50 to 60 seconds before the switch closes. It can withstand an open contact voltage of 220VDC and a switch on surge current of 5A / 1A initial and can switch off with a break current of 100mA at 50VDC.

In the days of valve equipment, these switches were used to delay the application of HT current to other devices that required their heaters to be fully up to temperature before the main HT was applied. These are devices such as mercury rectifiers and lamps etc.

This is an essential device if you are using mercury rectifiers or similar devices and is even good if you are using very expensive audio tubes to this day. Ideal for valve equipment constructors and experimenters alike.

A good chance to acquire useful example of this now rare valve/tube, but for a sensible price please - these new old things don't store for 60 odd years and then test and list themselves on here!!
