What is Vitamin B Powder?

Our Vitamin B Powder Blend is not a complete complex but includes, Taurine, Mineral Salts and some B vitamins.  Refer to the “Supplement Facts” list below for a complete ingredient list.

Usually, a Vitamin B Complex is a group of B vitamins that play a role in your body’s functions, including cardiovascular and cell health.  You typically get these vitamins from a nutritious diet.  Typically, a Vitamin B Complex includes B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folic acid), B12 (cobalamin).  This blend as stated, is not a complete complex but has added Minerals & Taurine.

Vitamins naturally occur in food and are needed in very small amounts for various bodily functions such as energy production and making red blood cells.  There are 13 vitamins that our body needs, 8 of which make up the B-group (or B-complex) vitamins.

The B-group vitamins do not provide the body with fuel for energy.  However, without B-group vitamins the body lacks energy.  This is because the B-group vitamins are needed to help the body to use the energy-yielding nutrients (such as carbohydrates, fat and protein) for fuel.  Other B-group vitamins are needed to help cells to multiply by making new DNA.

Even though the B-group vitamins are found in many foods, they are water soluble and are generally quite delicate. They are easily destroyed, particularly by alcohol and cooking.

You should not use this Vitamin B Powder Blend if you have ever had an allergic reaction to a vitamin B supplement.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist about using a vitamin B supplement if you have:

- Kidney disease or a history of kidney stones;

- Hereditary iron overload disorder (hemochromatosis); or

- If you smoke (smoking can make vitamins less effective).

Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5, also known as Calcium Pantothenate), is needed to metabolise carbohydrates, proteins, fats and alcohol as well as produce red blood cells and steroid hormones.

Taurine is popular in the health community for its potential to help stimulate a healthy metabolism which helps the liver to create bile salts.  Bile salts help break down fatty acids in the intestines.

Supplementing with Taurine can help protect your muscles, making Taurine ideal for athletes, bodybuilders and fitness fanatics.  The muscles contain high levels of Taurine which helps to ensure proper muscle function and protects against muscle damage.

Citric Acid is known for it’s an alkalizing agent properties.  This may aid in digestion, alkaline foods contain higher quantities of alkaline-forming minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium and iron.  All of these minerals aid in the absorption of nutrients.

Suggested Use:
