A wealthy couple (Jason Clarke / Lake Bell) weekend at their lake house for a last ditch effort to salvage their marriage. 

As they drive through the woods, they hit a drifter (Clifton Collins J) whose motorcycle has run out of gas. 

He is hurt and there's no help for miles.
They take him back to the lake house to clean him up and get some fuel. 

He ends up sticking around, used as a pawn by both husband and wife in their power plays with one another and soon, it seems, this drifter is no stranger. 

Maybe it wasn't an accident he wound up on that road.
Maybe one of them knows him from before...
