Framed photograph of a pier which may be at the Great Salt Lake Utah, USA though I am not certain of this. The photograph has a foreground orientation depicting the pink earth contrasting steam and a dark sky in the background. Four figures of people can just be seen to the right of the photograph walking along the pier, two adults and two youths, likely a family and one has a sand coloured cowboy hat. It's a striking image documenting an era gone by and features the beautiful landscape complemented with the attention to framing and salmon pink mat used to surround the image.

The photograph is signed with Hutchins and dated '81 and the mat is signed Hutchins. This work appears to be by a couple completing the different aspects of both photographing and framing works and the harmony shows a beautifully finished artwork.

The reverse side of the frame has a seal with the Photographic Studio, Hutchins Photography; Tom Hutchins / Penny Hutchins with an address and phone number of Santa Cruz California.

The measurements of the artwork which includes the photograph and mat in frame has a length of 52cm, Height of 41cm and Depth of Frame 3cm. The frame is a heavy aluminum type.

The photograph is in very good condition. The outer pink mat shows spots on the surface overall. The accent, thin dark mat, has been signed and I have not opened the back of the artwork to check how the spots appeared. The pink mat will likely need replacing. The glass and  aluminum frame are in very good condition.
