It is 1976, America's 200th Birthday, and Jimmy will turn nine. This red hair boy with fun freckles learns his family will spend the year participating in and observing America celebrations. Local events and school assignments become fun as Jimmy and his friends grow in excitement about what they are learning. The history lessons become real as he also travels to learn about his own family history.
Nancy Hoke is retired from more than forty years as a Pediatric Nurse, National Certified Counselor and Volunteer Advocate. She is wife to Retired Florist Gene, Mother to three daughters, Grandmother of nine, and Great Grandmother of three. Retirement will never affect her devotion to her St. Paul United Methodist Church involvement, gardening and quilting.
