Vintage/Antique IRON CITY 5 lb Striking Sledge Hammer Blacksmith Forging Hammer

You are bidding on a NICE! vintage lightly used IRON CITY "5" Beveled Double-Faced Striking Hammer That Was Made In The U.S.A. Hammer is stamped "5" on the head (see pics). Look at my last picture, you will see this hammer head from a 1891 IRON CITY catalog (see last pic). Both hammer faces have some hammer marks on them (see pics). No chips or mushrooming on either hammer face (see pics). There's some minor scratches, scrapes and ding marks on all sides of the hammer head (see pics). Nice and clear makers marks (IRON CITY "STAR"), and the # 5 mark (see pics). The head is just a little loose on what looks to be the original hickory handle?? (see pics). The handle has no breaks, cracks or repairs on it, but there's some ding marks on the handle here and there (see pics). The total weight of the hammer is 5 pounds 9.4 oz. And the hammer is 10-1/2" long. The hammer head is 5-3/4" long. Each hammer face is 1-3/4" in diameter.
