Description: a panel of 16 original hand painted Portuguese tiles made in the second half of the 17th century. The size of each individual tile is approximately 14.4 x 14.4 cm (5.6"square). This type of tile called "Azulejos" in Portugal were widely used in distinguished houses and religious buildings to cover entire walls with them. The condition of these tiles is fair considering age, there are some glaze chips to the sides. The backsides are all cut at an angle, this is common for antique Spanish and Portuguese tiles. Portuguese antique tiles in general are made primitive and therefore size, shape, color and thickness can vary.
I pack the tiles with great care, all my packages have a track and trace number.
